Get Your Customers First WITH TORONTO'S ENTREPRENEUR MENTOR THE STARTUP COACH

ENTREPRENEURS GET CUSTOMERS FIRST with THE STARTUP COACH

ENTREPRENEURS GET CUSTOMERS FIRST, BEFORE BUILDING AN MVP!

Hey it’s the Toronto’s Startup & Entrepreneur Mentor The Startup Coach here and today I wanted to follow up on my last video about

WHAT COMES FIRST BUILDING THE PRODUCT OR GETTING THE SALE.

The short answer always sell first!  Today Let’s talk about mindset and selling first.  Many entrepreneurs feel they need to have a solid product before they get their first customers; Quietly building a product they think that someone somewhere wants and after months of work and thousands spent they release it to the world and no one wants or buys and eventually fail.

DON’T DO THAT!

If people are donating to Kickstarter or Indiegogo crowdfunding campaigns why would they have a problem prepaying for your product or app?

You are free to ‘sell’ any features and make any pivot until you reach product/market fit

My advice to entrepreneurs who are getting their first customers is to remember Never sell the product, instead ask for feedback about your idea.  What feature/benefit would they need to make it a must-have product or service?

Don’t write a single line of code or build an MVP before you sell your product to 10 people

By getting customers before building the product entrepreneurs can be sure they have product market fit
