Collision 2019 was an incredible event where over 25000 innovators, leaders and entrepreneurs descended on Toronto. The The Startup Coach and the TorontoStarts Leadership team were there taking it all in. While Andrea and Meagan were following the different content tracks and there was something for everyone. The Startup Coach spent most of the conference talking to TorontoStarts community Startups connecting them to investors and other resources and talking to new ones. I can’t say enough good things about Sheetal Jaitly and the tribe at TribalScale. They really believe and support the community. They were hosting TorontoStarts events long before they had an event space. TorontoStarts owes him and TribalScale a lot for helping us become Toronto’s Startup community! Thank You! Oh yes and if you ever get a chance to see him speak like he did at Collision 2019 make sure you do!

Great to catch up with Jordan, Dean, and Charlie from Bitbuy.ca at Collision 2019. BitBuy is where Canadians buy and sell digital currency. They have been part of TorontoStarts community for a long time. Fun fact The Startup Coach can often be found discussing which hats are the best with Dean at various events across the city

Will from OutLoud Speakers School reacts to InStage VR solution for public speaking training. Inram co-founder of Instage was part of TorontoStarts AR/VR Summit in 2018 and the Instage solution is very impressive, but don’t take my word for it watch Will’s reaction.


Zain and the team at Fiix.io are a great Toronto Startup. Fiix brings certified professional mechanics to you to fix your car, change your tires and more, Where ever you are. Did you know they one the first TorontoStarts pitch competition in 2015? They have gone on to Y-combinator and to raised over 10 million and I’ll be getting them out to talk to the community and be on the Startup Talk Podcast soon.

The pitch completion at Collision 2019 seemed to never end, these contestants are getting ready for their round. On the right is Adrian from Groundhogg . They make the first marketing automation wordpress plugins that will not only save you money but make you money!

Kundan Joshi CEO of The App Lab planning a few things with The Startup Coach. Kundan has been mentoring with TorontoStarts for a few years now.

We ran into Alan of TokenFunder several times at Collision 2019. TokenFunder is Canada’s first registered security token Exempt Market Dealer. Alan often mentors TorontoStarts startups and is a regular at Startup Drinks and our cryptocurrency events. The Startup Coach has been a community advisor for TokenFunder for a while and you can look forward to some exciting things from them.

Justin Hartzman of Needls and Coinsmart to great companies one passionate serial entrepreneur. He has spoken and been on panels at TorontoStarts events and is a great speaker.

It’s Toronto startup Boss Insights Keren and her cofounder are brilliant you need to check out how they are unlocking greater returns for investors

All of our friends from Workhaus had a great time at Collision 2019 and we are looking forward to and already planning a secret after party for Collision 2020 (don’t tell anyone….)
