indiefilmTO is an art incubator that teaches artists (primarily filmmakers, but not limited to) how to make a living with their craft — without the feelings of “selling out” that most artists have when itcomes to thinking business-minded. Founded by Curt Jaimungal, a filmmaker in Toronto who worked briefly in Silicon Valley, the organization is built by artists themselves and from testing andexperimentation, we’ve found that the most reliable way to get “results” with one’s art, is not to treat it like a business, but to treat it like a startup. That is, indiefilmTO teaches artists how to beprofitable, by applying the startup methodology to the world of art.
