CNE Innovation Garage Emerging Innovators Pitch Competition 2019

"The CNE Emerging Innovators Pitch Competition, isn't one pitch competition.  It is seven Pitch Competitions!"

With six categories Kids Technology, Home, Everyday Living and Leisure, Indigenous Entrepreneurs, Health and Wellness, Women Entrepreneurs, & Food Tech & Urban Agriculture.  Each Category having it's own pitch competition with the winner of each of these categories receiving $5k and they get to compete in the finals for an additional $25k.

Kids Technology Pitch Category

CNE Innovation Garage 2019 Emerging Innovators Pitch Competition 

Companies in this category will focus on the health, education and entertainment of children. Examples of what may be featured in the competition include physical products, app based learning, coding or emotional wellness in relation to children.

Village Technologies

Village Technologies assists first-time parents become more aware of their child's development. By tracking an infants' language skills and comparing it with acceptable milestones, they will provide parents with tools and strategies that help nourish their child's development

Cute Animal Therapy

Cute Animal Therapy uses gaming to help youth understand the importance of mental wellness. Leading a team of cats, each with it's own mental wellness challenges, the player gains a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses surrounding mental wellness and the best tools to help the individual

Gimme360

An agile technology company, Gimmie360 specializes in augmented reality solutions to improve the way students live, learn and communicate in the classroom.

Kidictive

Kidictive uses technology to get kids "addicted" to the real world by helping kids develop self-directed behaviours to unplug from screens using the gaming mechanisms they already know and love!

HeroHub is an online platform that creates a greater social impact by connecting local
charities & non-profits to individuals and businesses who are seeking volunteer or
sponsorship opportunities, charity events, and to donate new or gently-used items!

Sister Circle Consulting

Sister Circle guides organizations, schools, governments and corporations towards
reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples with the aim of building capacity to create
effective partnerships for sustainable and community driven economic development.

MedEssist

Medication non-adherence is a tremendous burden for patients, pharmacies, and the
pharmaceutical industry alike. MedEssist is the first mobile app using a unique scanning
feature that reminds patients when to take their medications, but also how to take them,
and facilitates simple, secure mobile refills to their local pharmacy. • Able Innovations Inc.
o Able Innovations develop innovative technology to improve transfer processes and outcomes, taking away the back-breaking effort and risk of injury in moving individuals.

Sentero

Individuals and families of individuals with disabilities struggle to navigate the disability
services landscape. On the other hand, clinics and service providers face increasing challenges in attracting new clients, improving communication of patient data across clinics, and lowering administrative overhead. Sentero’s mission is to reduce the burden on families and help clinics boost patient care and services, connecting the two parties under an integrated web platform.

SmartEyes

SmartEyes is a mobile application that uses object detection to inform visually impaired
individuals of objects in their surroundings using 3D audio feedback. The objective of this application is to redesign the instruments that the visually impaired user uses to go about their days as well giving them the independency.

BooknBrunch is a community, an engaging experience and a movement toward
connecting with people through a love of books and brunch. They are rewriting and redefining the book club experience to create a book and culinary experience for the curious minded.

Kind Karma Company

Kind Karma was born on the principle to spread kindness through our commitment to
ethical fashion that gives back, creates opportunity, and limits positivity. By employing at- risk and homeless youth to make beautiful, custom handcrafted jewelry, all Kind Karma pieces have a positive social impact on the Toronto community.

OVO Solar Technologies Inc.

OVO Solar Technologies is empowering smallholder farmers in developing countries by designing and manufacturing affordable solar powered egg incubators that will help break the cycle of poverty. Farmers can use our egg incubator to raise more chickens, increase their income, and become more food secure.

Green Iglu

Green Iglu's mission is to combat the lack of fresh and affordable food available north of Canada. To facilitate local food production, they designed a dome that could withstand harsh conditions and help the local community grow affordable and nutritious food.

Neophyto Foods

People suffer from dairy food allergies, finding it difficult to substitute the ingredient in an affordable, sustainable, and ethical way. Neophyto Foods is a soy-based premium cheese block to suit your various meal needs!
