Craig: google unveiled their gemini two point o, which apparently is a significant advancement in ai technology. and it focuses on adjentic ai, which is ai agents. now, i saw a tiktok video, which i think i sent you, of a guy. and the reason why is because it seems like this is the rabbit r one, in in an ai form. because the guy was he's like, how many fingers am i holding up? and the it responded two on your right hand, and then he held up notes and said, can you summarize this? and it did it. so, yeah, you've got you've got the rabbit r one now. but yeah. so they introduced a couple different projects. one was project astra, which i think is what they were talking about. there's a visual tool capable of recognizing objects, aiding navigation, locating misplaced items. the other one is project mariner, which is a chrome extension that can operate your browser autonomously. scary. third one is jules, which is an agent aimed at assisting developers in identifying and correcting port code. surprise. surprise. and then there's a gaming agent that can analyze your screen to improve video gaming experience, which is kinda cool. i haven't done a deep dive into this. i have not played with gemini at all, but, i don't know. have you played with gemini one point o at all or one point five?

Jon: yeah. i played with it a bit, but i haven't used any of these new features. yeah. i played with it to give me results on different things. i haven't really compared the outputs

Craig: yeah.

Jon: from, you know, again, i'm usually creating content, when i'm working on stuff. help me, you know, with, creating my documents, formatting everything, getting what did i forget? yeah. you know, that kind of stuff. it's interesting. i'm throwing the video for the gemini two point o for games on here. i'm not really sure a hundred percent what it's doing other than helps users complete web. so i guess i'm planning an attack, but my first, i need to train an army, so maybe you could recommend troop compositions for the army. oh, okay. so it's reading your screen, and it's talk it's getting stuff back. so that's interesting.

Craig: yeah.

Jon: cool. quite yeah. it's interesting. i am really gonna look at this. this came out yesterday. right? the new stuff?

Craig: yeah.

Jon: and, you know, agents are the future. everything's agent tech now. we've seen swarmed by openai's agents. we've seen other people's agents. it's nice that, they've they're coming out with mariner, which is to control, your browser. yeah. like, but that's no different than computer use by claude or, skyburn or openai's got a version of that, i think, coming out soon too, where they're controlling your stuff. and it's interesting, you know, how much you wanna let this happen, how better they get. it's interesting to watch. i'm just curious to see where it goes. they're all leapfrogging each other. i'm curious about whether ai and gaming is gonna ruin gaming, this kind of stuff. right? it's gonna, it feels a little, like, it's gonna do damage to that industry versus help. yeah. yeah. but these other ones, i'm very interested in seeing. and we're on a cusp of ai changing everything more than people possibly imagine. and, you know, the whole economy is gonna change. how people work, what they do is gonna change. how we educate ourselves is changing. everything is changing. and when we see these things, it's great to see, but it's a very scary world unless you start embracing this stuff and say, alright. if this is the future, where do i go from where i am now to sec being successful in the future? let's always keep that in mind. ai is coming, and it's not being stopped. and you need to get on that train.

Craig: yeah. you do.

Jon: yep. any last words on this?

Craig: no. well, we might do a it it but once

Jon: we start moving it using it. yeah. and i'd love to hear your feedback on gemini two point o for the games, the project mariner, jules for ai coding. i've only coded a few things with ai. you've done a few things with, some of the tools.

Craig: an entire mvp using replit in four hours.

Jon: yeah. i was like with,

Craig: like, multiple functionality. it's crazy.

Jon: yeah. the stuff you can do is insane, now. and with the different tools and some of the stuff, you can self host. if you've seen the new qen, models out of china that are super small and are super good at coating yeah.

Craig: yeah. i heard those. yep.

Jon: and some of these other things, they're amazing. and you start running these locally when they're one, you know, one and a half gig or two gig models that can actually code really well. yeah. it becomes a life changer.

Craig: yeah.
